The resistance to change comes from the pain that change will bring — this seems so obvious now that you’ve said it, but before your piece I hadn’t really connected change with pain so explicitly.
I'm glad you like it! That was the very realisation that prompted me to write this actually - I didn't really connect the dots until quite recently either.
I've always wanted to be able to help those who are in a situation where they have stuffed themselves more than the turkey win a losing battle. So sounds about right, try it and lets changed the world!
Wow thank you for sharing this! It sounds like you had a really touching experience.
This is something that I wanted to capture but felt like I couldn't do justice: the very idea you've described. There is an element of grieving involved, even if you are letting a "less good" version of yourself go to make room for a better version.
It's ok, and maybe even healthy, to grieve the demise of the bad parts of your self too.
The obstacle is the way.
The impediment to action advances action.
What stands in the way becomes the way.
What appears to be a defect, turned on it’s head, becomes an asset.
“To change, you must unconditionally accept,
That change will come with pain.” —

"Follow your fear.
For fear arises to try and shield you from pain,
but sometimes, it’s more harmful than protective.
Once you follow your fear, you'll find the pain.
It will show you where you need to grow."
Thanks for reading and restacking, Klara! I'm so glad this part resonated with you :)
The simplicity of it :)
