Read This If You Always Seem To Have A Problem With Everything
Break free from the expectation trap
6 years ago, this one realisation stopped me in my tracks: you don’t have problems, you create them. And if you’re not careful, you can end up in a situation where you create problems no matter how things unfold.
A scary number of people (my past self included) find themselves in this quagmire. In case it wasn’t clear, this is not good. It’s not good because it means that no matter where you are or what you’re doing, you’ll always have a a bone to pick for the sake of picking a bone.
If you’re lucky, you’ll eventually take a step back and realise the reason these problems keep following you everywhere is because, well… you are the problem.
See, the world is what it is, and it’ll be what it’ll be. Your problems, then, come from your expectation that the world needs to be a certain way for you to be okay. And if it’s not that way, then you’re not okay, and you have a problem. This is the expectation trap.
But frankly, life has no obligation to cooperate.
