Dear reader,
It’s been a few months since I last wrote to you, and I want to thank you for your patience.
In that time, I’ve stepped away from writing publicly to do some deep, transformational inner work. The space was necessary and fruitful.
I’m now returning with more clarity, and what I share going forward will reflect that. You’ll notice some shifts in tone and direction over the coming weeks, but to put it simply for now:
My writing will draw from timeless principles of Eastern spirituality - primarily Vedanta, Zen, and Tao. But it will be unusual to what you might have read in other places. It will be brutally applicable to modern life - rather than the passive and abstract interpretations you see everywhere else.
These principles have transformed my life. They moved me from despair, depression and hopelessness to a life of strength, vividness and inner freedom. Now, I want to package that promise of transformation for you, first through my writing, and soon, through an intensive and limited-number coaching program.
I’ll draw occasional parallels from psychology, behavioural science, and neuroscience - not to dilute the spiritual message, but to enrich it.
The publication will now be called Tafakari Letter. “Tafakari” is a Swahili word that means reflection, contemplation, deep thought.
To the new readers who joined while I was away - you’ve arrived at the perfect time. Welcome.
To those of you who’ve been here longer - thank you for sticking with me.
It’s great to be back.
More soon,
Zan.
Hey nice to see you back, man!
What a pleasant surprise to see your name in my feed again. Looking forward to seeing more from you. Welcome back.
